Damon's class was awesome and covered tons of material. He's a very professional instructor who knows his stuff and is more than willing to answer any questions anyone in the class might have. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to get their concealed carry permit. Damon's class is definitely worth every dollar.

Additionally, Damon has not just trained me, but he has trained over 20 of my friends and all have the same opinion.

I have to say that Damon is the man. Not only is he a patient, friendly and thorough instructor, he is also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to safe and practical firearms instruction, training and methodologies. I continually appreciate the email updates and tips, tricks and pointers to new information. Thanks for everything Damon (except the bad picture!! haha).

I attended a training session with Damon at his home in May 2010. There were about 8 other students there and it was an enjoyable experience. I researched other instructors before deciding on Damon. As I told him, the comments of prior students left on this site were a determining factor for me. I drove an hour to Damon's class even though there were instructors closer to my home. No regrets. Damon did a fine job and provided everything I needed to get a permit. The BCI found my paperwork ready for submission when I delivered the packet Damon built. Damon's insights were helpful and obviously borne out of a wealth of experience in the industry. He lives this stuff. I've communicated with Damon by email several times since the class and he seems to have the excellent attitude of taking class graduates "under his wing". He is very willing to answer questions and be a reference even after he has made his money from the class. I believe you won't regret selecting Damon as your instructor.

Damon, the day after taking your class a situation occurred right in front of my house. Some high schoolers were shooting a simulated carjacking movie for a class they were in. Didn't recognize anyone in the car right off, but did moments later of one neighbor girl sitting in the passenger seat olding a movie camera. Situation awareness convinced me there was reasonable doubt about what was happening. However, I was on the phone with Police Dispatch and continued advising them of developments. Police went to the car owner's house to check on who had the car and what the driver might be doing. Police were setting up a cordon of the area. Fortunately the kids spooked and drove to my neighbor girl's house. Police went to that house and reviewed the video. The kids were enraged that I'd reported them but quickly calmed down when advised they'd committed 4 misdemeanors and could be cited for them. Thanks to your astute training I did not see the need to directly intervene using a firearm thus escalating the situation! Police commended me for calling 911 and giving precise details of the people, their actions and the vehicle ID. "Pray you never have to use it:" Right on!!

This is a fantastic place and resource for anyone who wants to experience a "private-like" result in learning about small arms training, conceal and carry licensing and general home and personal security and contingency planning.

Damon is articulate and thorough, and a pretty great guy in general.

As a former "military guy" I have been interested, although away, from the whole small arms experience for almost 30 years. There was a reason I waited to get back involved, and that was due to the professionalism and trust Damon invites.

This is a great site and a great resource.

Damon's class was very informative and covered a huge amount of information. His knowledge, positive attitude, enthusiasm and focus on safety, coupled with his thoroughness in covering the laws and helping the students feel more comfortable carrying concealed was worth every penny. Not only did I feel his concern for teaching and helping in every way, but he answered my questions with respect and completeness. I would feel more comfortable having Damon teach my kids than myself. His dedication to his field, students, and continually working on increasing his knowledge and expertise not only gives me confidence in what he is teaching me, but allows me to learn and increase my knowledge and safety as well. I plan on spending more time with Damon so he can continue to teach me more about shooting and the gun industry as well. He has offered to do so for free, if I buy the ammo...and that is a deal I can't pass up. Anyone who isn't asking for Damon's help is crazy...I plan on learning everything I can from this fantastic instructor.
Best wishes Damon...you deserve it. :)

I couldn't have found a better instructor for the CCW course than Damon. It is a miracle I took his course, because I almost ended up taking a class from someone else that I don't think would have done nearly as good of a job. In fact I talked to 2 of the other instructors I was going to get taught by, and I can safely say Damon's knowledge about guns and anything related far exceeds theirs. He actually cared about teaching rather than just getting paid.

The rewards from taking Damon's class are far greater than I had expected, any updated information related to guns that he knows of, will be continuously updated to me via his mailing list, how cool is that.

Before the class I wasn't sure if I would be out of place taking notes on my laptop, but I decided to bring it anyways just in case. I am so glad that I did, cause there were many valuable gems given, that I would have lost without my quick typing skills, I strongly recommend good note taking. Thanks Damon

Damon,
Hi cousin. I am a CCW permit holder in Idaho, retired from the U.S. Army, and also worked for law enforcement for awhile. Glad to see there are other Thueson's out there who hold first amendment rights sacred and are working to make our society safer by keeping criminals at bay.
I am a descendant of John Nicolai Thueson, Con Thueson, Gail Hesse Thueson and Elwood Thueson. I am 60 years old, reside in Boise, Idaho and have five children, all of whom have been trained and coached in firearms use.
Keep up the good work. Gail

Damon is a very enthusiastic instuctor with a lot of good information and real life stories to help in understanding the material. He loves what he does and wants to educate everyone of his students with the tools they need to be a good wepons carrier. I would recomend him to anyone that wants to get their concealed wepons permit.
