Jacob Paulsen has been teaching Utah concealed carry courses since January of 2007. With over 350 students taught in over 50 classes, Jacob brings experience to the classroom like few else can. Jacob usually holds his classes at his own home in West Provo but also is willing to travel all over the state for private instruction. Jacob, a NRA certified Range Safety Officer also does private range instruction for those looking to improve on accuracy & safety. Jacob’s sense of humor combined with his ability to present the information in a clear and concise manner will help you leave the course happy and satisfied.

I took the class from Jacob, along with my son. We then had him come to our home and give the class to my wife and other children and their spouses, seven of us total.
I never thought I’d see the day when all of my family, including my wife would be licensed to carry. They may not carry all the time, but it is great that should they decide they have the need, they will be able to do so.
Jacob does a great job, and even those who may not end up carrying will enjoy the information and find the class really interesting and thought provoking.

I have been hunter here in Utah for over 45 years and still learned from recently taking a class from Jacob. He covers material that sometimes you forget and is very essential in handling a fire arm.
I would recomment Jacob to anyone who wants to get a concealed weapons permit.

Jacob is very good at instruction…so good in fact, that I am now an instructor as well.
Due to Jacobs mentoring…I have taught over 300 students in my classes.
This kid knows his stuff and is always willing to help answer questions and strives to be the best instructor he can be.
Learning from his lead…I believe that the J.E.S. instructors are some of the best in Utah…NO Question!

This is a great class for those looking to get a concealed weapons permit or even those who may be experienced gun handlers looking to stay updated on the law and technique. Jacob has the ability to get as technical as he needs for those with many years of experience with guns or as simplistic as needed to thoroughly teach a neophite such as myself. Thanks for the great course Jacob!

Jacob is a very thorough teacher and sticks to the facts, I was very impressed with his class and learned alot more then I anticipated. I would strongly recommend letting Jacob enlighten you in the Concealed Carry/Gun world!!
